Mohammed Ahmed Alrayees

Mohammed Alrayees has over 8 years of experience in the Drainage, wastewater and Irrigation industry with a great major infrastructure projects experience as well as experience in senior management at one of Dubai Municipality’s busiest departments. Mohammed began his career as a Civil Engineer and has moved into positions including Head of Projects for both Drainage and Irrigation simultaneously. In his current position as Acting Director of Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID), he has created and implemented changes and work processes that had a great impact on the department’s business activities and its overall results. He is considered a role model in appreciating the value of diverse leadership skills, and how important it is to treat each member of the team as an individual in order to get results. His strong leadership and managerial skills strongly support DID’s current Projects and productivity efficiency. Dubai Municipality is one of the lead government entities in UAE, where tradition is very respected, however innovation is also respected and valued. Mr. Alrayees has created a culture in his department at which innovation is essential and fundamental element of the department’s strategy. Mohammed’s education includes American University of Sharjah – BSC in Civil Engineering and a near graduate of Masters in Engineering Management from University of Wollongong
